Rentals:

All rental charges are billed out on a minimum of a monthly basis. Rentals are processed on a cycle-day system. Your cycle day is the date your equipment was initially delivered to you. [E.g. If your equipment was delivered on the 5th day of the month, your cycle period will run from the 5th day of this month to the 4th day of the following month.]

A rented item (except for oxygen equipment) is referred to as a capped rental item. After you rent a piece of equipment for up to 13 months, ownership will typically transfer to you. If you need the equipment for fewer than 13 months, the supplier still owns the equipment and will take it back when you no longer need it.

You may be responsible for a monthly rental fee (copay) unless you have a secondary insurance policy. It is common now for HMO-type insurance policies to only cover 50% of the allowable charges, leaving you responsible for the balance.
